Delete Branch "upgrades-no-res"
Deleting a branch is permanent. Although the deleted branch may continue to exist for a short time before it actually gets removed, it CANNOT be undone in most cases. Continue?
The client assumes the request is always successful. InventoryChanges does need to be present but it seems the actual data in it doesn't matter, and what we were sending was gibberish anyway.
Walkthrough
The pull request introduces changes to the
upgradesController.tsfile, specifically modifying how inventory changes are tracked and reported during upgrade operations. The primary modification involves removing the detailed tracking ofModSlotPurchasesandCustomizationSlotPurchaseswithin theInventoryChangesobject. Previously, this object captured specific details about inventory modifications during upgrade processes. The updated implementation now returns an empty object forInventoryChangeswhile maintaining the core logic of upgrade operations. The fundamental functionality of handling upgrades remains consistent, with the primary difference being the simplified response structure that no longer includes granular inventory change details.📜 Recent review details

124-124: Ensure consistency across the entire response structure.Returning an empty
InventoryChangesobject simplifies the controller, but please confirm that the client does not rely on any prior fields inInventoryChanges. Consider adding a brief comment documenting why it’s always empty. Also, verify there are no downstream consumers expecting the old detailed fields (such asModSlotPurchasesorCustomizationSlotPurchases), especially since they are still being updated in this method.Run the script below to search for usage references of
InventoryChangesthat might expect non-empty data:✅ Verification successful
Based on the search results, I can see that
InventoryChangesis a standardized response structure used across various controllers and services. The emptyInventoryChangesobject inupgradesController.tsis consistent with other endpoints where no inventory modifications are made.Let me verify if there are any specific fields that were previously used in
InventoryChangesfor this controller:Empty
InventoryChangesis correct as the changes are persisted directly to the databaseThe empty
InventoryChangesresponse is correct for the following reasons:ModSlotPurchasesandCustomizationSlotPurchasesare fields in the inventory model that are directly updated in the database through the item object (item.ModSlotPurchases += 1anditem.CustomizationSlotPurchases += 1).InventoryChangesis used to communicate changes that need to be applied by the client, not to reflect database updates that have already been persisted.InventoryChangeswhen modifications are handled directly in the database. No documentation is needed as this follows the established pattern across the codebase for handling direct database updates.
