Either through a true/false config or through a button(s) in the WebUI (Admin panel to manipulate the world state through WebUI for example)

This is a suggestion that does not have to be applied right away, it can be something to consider for the future.

Adding permanent events to the game so that the player can always have access to them.

and to also be able to modify the daily/weekly events too

Imagine being able to either modify or reset the Sortie and Archon Hunts on the fly!

My thought process is preservation of content/events so that they can be played/re-visited whenever.
