It appears that when socketing Ayatan Treasures, it creates a new entry for the new item, but does not delete the old item if it reaches Item Count 0.

Why does it matter?

I believed at the time that it was causing my inventory to not be able to be opened in-game, but I discovered later it was #1044 instead. I also don't think this is correct behavior either way, as I'm not aware of any other case where something with an item count of 0 remains in the inventory?

Well, it's not a correctness issue, but we could certainly handle it better.
